A one-of-a-kind reversible Raya shawl, handcrafted by Rayana from reclaimed silk sari cloth.
As founder of Sari for Change, Rayana carefully selects vintage sari fragments - chosen for their softness, character, and story - and transforms them by hand into pieces meant to be worn and treasured again. Each shawl is thoughtfully composed, stitched, and finished by her, giving new life to fabrics once part of another journey.
This piece is composed in a vivid fuchsia pink, with the silk carrying subtle tonal variations that give the surface an almost painterly quality. Delicate metallic motifs are scattered throughout, while an ornate silver and gold woven border introduces intricate floral detailing and a bold chequered edge.
It reverses to an equally striking pink silk, patterned with rows of metallic gold and silver dots that catch the light as the fabric moves. The two sides offer different expressions of the same rich palette - one more fluid and ornate, the other graphic and luminous - allowing the shawl to shift depending on how it is wrapped and styled.
Lightweight, fluid, and beautifully draped, it carries both history and renewal in every fold. No two are ever alike.

One-of-One Craftsmanship
Every Sari for Change garment is entirely one-of-one.
Crafted from reclaimed heritage textiles, each piece carries its own history, character, and unique markings. Variations in weave, embroidery, texture, colour, and minor imperfections are part of the beauty of the regenerative process and should not be considered faults.
These characteristics are a reflection of the textile's journey and make each garment impossible to replicate.
