One-of-one garment. Crafted in Johannesburg. Reclaimed heritage textiles. DHL worldwide shipping

One of a kind garment crafted from richly textured Banarasi silk sari, this kimono carries a sense of ceremony and strength. The fabric is thicker and more structured than traditional silk, giving it a sculptural, outerwear feel while still allowing fluid movement. A vivid rose-pink base is illuminated with gold embroidery, woven into the silk itself so it shimmers softly as it catches the light.

Banarasi silk originates from Varanasi, India, and is celebrated for its intricate weaving techniques and opulent metallic threads. Traditionally reserved for heirloom saris and ceremonial dress, it is prized for its durability, weight, and timeless grandeur-qualities that give this piece its unmistakable presence.

The silhouette remains relaxed yet commanding, with wide sleeves and a long, flowing cut. A matching silk belt allows the kimono to be worn open as a statement layer or tied at the waist for a more defined, architectural shape. Bold, elegant, and enduring, this is a piece designed to be worn as art.

Every Sari for Change garment is entirely one-of-one.

Crafted from reclaimed heritage textiles, each piece carries its own history, character, and unique markings. Variations in weave, embroidery, texture, colour, and minor imperfections are part of the beauty of the regenerative process and should not be considered faults.

These characteristics are a reflection of the textile's journey and make each garment impossible to replicate.
