A one-of-a-kind reversible Raya shawl, handcrafted by Rayana from reclaimed sari cloth.
As founder of Sari for Change, Rayana rescues treasured sari remnants once worn and loved, selecting pieces for their softness, history, and enduring beauty. She then creates each Raya shawl herself-pairing contrasting textiles, hand-stitching every join, and transforming precious fragments into something whole once more.
This piece pairs a vibrant emerald silk woven with bold gold chevron patterning, alive with movement and light. It is contrasted by a vivid fuchsia silk organza, delicately sheer and scattered with fine gold motifs that shimmer softly across its surface. A richly detailed metallic border in antique gold anchors the composition, adding depth and a sense of heritage. Reversible by design, it offers two distinct expressions in one-striking, graphic energy on one side, and light, luminous elegance on the other.
Soft, airy, and fluid to drape, no two are ever alike.

One-of-One Craftsmanship
Every Sari for Change garment is entirely one-of-one.
Crafted from reclaimed heritage textiles, each piece carries its own history, character, and unique markings. Variations in weave, embroidery, texture, colour, and minor imperfections are part of the beauty of the regenerative process and should not be considered faults.
These characteristics are a reflection of the textile's journey and make each garment impossible to replicate.
