A one-of-a-kind reversible Raya shawl, handcrafted by Rayana from reclaimed sari cloth.
As founder of Sari for Change, Rayana rescues treasured textile remnants once worn and loved, selecting pieces for their beauty, softness, and enduring story. She then handcrafts each Raya shawl herself - thoughtfully pairing contrasting textiles, stitching every join by hand, and transforming precious fragments into something whole again.
This piece unites two striking expressions. One side is a rich wine chiffon-organza blend, softly sheer and fluid, adorned with delicate blush floral embroidery and intricate appliqué that trails elegantly through the drape. The reverse reveals a silky ikat-inspired print in ruby, ivory, and sapphire tones, offering bold geometric energy and artisan character.
Reversible by design, it moves effortlessly between romantic softness and graphic statement - two moods in one heirloom piece.
Shaped by Rayana’s hands from cloth that has been worn, weathered, mended, and loved, it reflects the resilience, sacrifice, and quiet beauty woven through motherhood.
Soft, featherlight, and impossible to duplicate, no two are ever alike.

Every Sari for Change garment is entirely one-of-one.
Crafted from reclaimed heritage textiles, each piece carries its own history, character, and unique markings. Variations in weave, embroidery, texture, colour, and minor imperfections are part of the beauty of the regenerative process and should not be considered faults.
These characteristics are a reflection of the textile's journey and make each garment impossible to replicate.
